Viva have several projects with REC: Race for Education Council, teaching kids from multicultural backgrounds, how to shoot and edit short documentaries, they will be making a documentary on the Stoke carnival, they will be shooting the making of the carnival muppets, the dance workshops and the procession in May.


Viva members will be helping them acquire the basic use of cameras and edit the documentary.


"The biggest painting in the world" is a project with Oldham Council for racial Equality. Viva will be working with David Vaun a well known local artist who is planning to use up 8,000 local school kids of various ages to paint a 5 mile long canvass. The final product will be cut to various sizes and send to Universities, schools and other organisations for display.
